Anyone got any experience of trying to repair domestic water pipes that are buried in CONCRETE flooring?
Our bungalow was built in the seventies and it seems that it was common in Cornwall in those days to put all the domestic pipes including heating under the concrete floor.
It might have looked less obtrusive in rooms but its a pain in the a...!! to do any work on! Simple jobs like replacing radiators are very difficult. You have to dig up a good length of concrete to get enough flexibility in the pipe to work on etc.

if you can dig up floor with damaging copper pipe  then how about using a slip coupling on one side of the joint thus reducing/eliminating the flexibility need ;)
