Bought a £3.99 tin of wilko primer yesterday, walked home with it under my arm, opened the gate, the tin dropped to the ground and the whole lot just plastered all over the road. A car passed after so now there are a load of tyre marks going from my front gate 30 feet to the bottom of the road

Always carry primer in a bag. It doesn't matter if it tips upside down.
Maybe Wilko should go with Dulux' method of making screw caps instead of lids.
