Hi all, my brother wants to sell a rental property.
Long story.... it has an exterior door on the outer of the porch. The inner door- which, historically, would have been the original exterior door is missing...
He wants me to fit a new inner door. Ideally something with a small (pre-glazed) window in it towards the top.
The door will have a night latch and mortice lock. From a security point of view, is there any reason why it can't be an internal "chipboard" pre-primed door? The door will never get wet. He is concerned that once the new door is fitted, the current tenants won't bother locking the outer door.
I want to keep the price as low as is practically possible given that he is trying to sell the place.
Door recommendations will be much appreciated- dimensions are approx 32" tall by 80" tall.
Many thanks in advance.
