Hey, quick one for anyone that can shed some light.

I'm moving a door way over in order to make more room in the kitchen for a full size worktop. Just wondering what everyone's views are in terms of how far away the door lining should be from the wall.

Apologies for my crap explanation, hopefully this image will help a little http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/4610/photosp.jpg (how far to the right should i move the opening)

Thanks

Inside the kitchen looking into the hall way, the door on the right leads under the stairs.

Anyway, went and spent an hour there last night and came up with the following. I've had to go for a small door (686) but has now allowed me to have just over 700mm in depth so will be good for the kitchen worktop + door architrave.

Cheers
