Doors to split workshop - 2.4m x 2.4m

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice for a project i wish to undertake later this year.

I have a workshop that is about 8m long by 2.4m wide and 2.4m high, I'd like to split one end of it to hide a bar/mancave. The idea being two big doors, 2.4m high by 1.2m wide would fold back to each side of the wall to reveal the bar, then if I want to use the workshop I can close them up. It also keeps the kids away!

Any ideas for the best way to construct them? Ideally they would fold into two parts each side so they only need 60cm of wall to fold back into, but I'm not sure how practical this would be to do.

You could make an 8 part 300mm wall , then needs just a tiny 300mm of wall space and less than 200mm depth with 18mm panels. Stick them on castors to aid folding.Only first door need to have a head rail.Simple clothes rail pole across with a large screw eye screwed into top of door edge as a guide.

we don't know your priorities. If you wanted a cheap and simple solution, you could use hollow flush doors, hinged together in pairs, with a transom panel to fill the remaining gap above.

Unless you are 8 feet tall, you don't need 2400 doors.

your doors need to be smaller than the lowest wall or roof point they are under or against
why do you need it to fully open up as a mancave three to four foot would be more practical

You could use a garage door? Then it wouldn't waste any wall space at all.

There will be a big TV mounted at the back of the room so I want the doors to be the full height of the ceiling, that way when open I can expand the man cave into the entire workshop as and when it takes my fancy.

They dont have to look fancy, as you'll only really see them from the workshop. Its fine for them to take up 600mm of wall when folded back, that would mean that they protrude less into the room when open.

I'm thinking 4 x 2400 x 600 panels with two attached and folding back into each side, plenty of hinges should support the weight? Probably just ply (braced at the back if need be).
