Hi there ... I've knocked off the plaster from an old (1907) terrace house and some walls are engineering brick and some are a mixture of stone and bits of brick. The cement seems to have been mixed with coal dust from the local pit ... hence the colour. I have only ever dot and dabbed on nice clean concrete block so I'd be grateful for some advice on whether the walls are suitable for D+D and if so should I coat with pva or something beforehand

thanks for your help!

You could pva it to kill the dust, but generally dab adhesive sticks like the proverbial so I reckon you’ll be ok.
Maybe do a test single board and check it the next day.
