The internal partition walls in my house appear to be of straw construction, similar to the 'Stramit' type. I wish to improve the sounds insulation of these walls and so is it OK to dot n dab accoustic PB to them directly or is this a silly thing to try to do ?

All help appreciated..

i've not come across anything like stramit.

i've generally found plasterboard adhesive sticks to most surfaces so would suggest you try a few dots as a trial.

i think it's probably as good an idea as any because i guess the alternative would be to attach battens which again the fastening would be difficult.

the only thought would be to skim with bonding 1st if the surface is weak when trying to pull the test dot's off.
