Dot and dab over metal mesh?

Hi,
The metal mesh is designed to be rendered or plastered over.
However, it is usually mechanically fixed first.
If you are not happy with the mesh being there, and you are happy with the substrate, just cut it out!
If you are not happy with the substrate, 'plasterboard expanding foam' is a good alternative to dot and dab.
...and even a grab adhesive like Pink Grip would do for a small area!
