How do you test a zone valve to see if it is getting a signal to open from the stat? Trying to determine whether the stat of the zone valve is at fault.

240 on the brown from the thermostat. What’s the fault?

As previous post have you240 v on the grey when you have a call for heat .? If not are you getting 240 on common on stat then 240 out when it’s asking for heat

Hot water is working, so is one heating zone. The second zone isn't working. The display on the stat has also gone blank.

That’s a programmer, not a thermostat. If one heating zone is working, then I doubt it’s the programmer. As per my previous post, you need 240 on brown of motorised valve when heat is calling. Is the lever on the motorised valve (mv) stiff or loose? Which mv do you have?

The Danfoss Programmer has hot water control and one heating zone. You mention a second heating zone. If both heating zones are connected to the same CH channel of the Danfoss programmer, and one zone is working and one isn't then it won't be the programmer stopping the second zone working. Although if its display is broken then a replacement would probably be a good idea.

As @muggles check for a live on the effected zone's motorised valve brown wire, and a neutral on the blue wire. If both are present and the valve doesn't open then the valve is faulty.

If there isn't a live present at the motorised valve then the thermostat may be faulty (or if battery operated, may need new batteries) If this is the case and you need more assistance, details of the thermostat relating to the faulty zone would be helpful.

One heating zone is constantly on and one heating zone constantly on
