my push button double flush toilets are getting harder to flush,there not cable,is this normal with age?5 years,and do i need to replace them?

Some systems (Grohe for example) use a rubber diaphragm to push a sharp pulse of air down a pipe to the flush mechanism.
If the push diaphragm is weak or perished, it becomes difficult to flush.

Fit a Fluidmaster flapper flush valve. Dual flush, easy maintenance, not that it needs any:
