Need to make some 8ft wide double gates 6'6"

Which materails to use t & g wbp ply or sawn treated timber (sizes) ?

Sawn treated all the way. That site you link to gives all the dimensions required in metric and imperial

those gates are quite lightly made and won't provide more than basic security
