Double Glazing handle stuck - can anyone help !

The plastic clasp inside the handle on a double glazing window fell out and I put it back in the handle and locked the window without realising the plastic was at the wrong angle and now its caused the handle to be stuck in a locked position - the plastic clasp is stopping the window from being unlocked/opened, any help of how to get it unstuck would be greatly appreciated
