Double Socket Spur From Ring Main

Having a discussion with a chap at work, he has a ring main he wants to add a spur to, I said if he's adding a single socket, he may as well make it a double if it's permissable, he wasn't sure is it is or not, nor am I, so I saidf I'd ask you chaps.

It is indeed permissable to use a one double socket spurred from the ring in 2.5mm².

If you want to spur more than one double socket then time to fit a FCU.
