down-lighters in plastic cladding

I would advise against using the halogen type in this type of ceiling as the heat may damage the plastic, by discolouring it or worse. There are the PL fluorescent type which would run much cooler but are quite expensive.
i have put them in with no problems, I wouldn't use 50 W lamps, better to stick to 20 or 35.
