I want to install UPVC cladding on bathroom ceiling across wooden battens. I want to fit downlights so wonder what sort of depth I should allow for the downlighters. I have seen 75mm, has anyone come across any bathroom downlighters with a smaller depth as I want to keep the battens at a minimum thickness. The ceiling is concrete (ground floor flat). so installing the battens will be fun!

Any advice on any of the above is welcome. Thanks

You'll need to use CF or LED downlighters or - as a minimum - they will discolour/melt your uPVC cladding.

Would have beeen better in the Electrics forum. Maybe ask the Mod to move it.
