I'm having a headache trying to find a ventilation route for an over head extract (kitchen and island are in the middle of the house).
A downdraft extractor would be an answer except for the fact my island isn't really big enough to house the fan unit. Is anyone familiar with these units? Would it be possible to have the main fan under the floorboards? I have access to under the floor and I installed an 8" pipe running to outside just incase I needed to do something like this.
