I've saw some push fit connectors in the loft at our old house. The lighting radial connected to the connector (and then continued to the next connector at the next light) and then a single twin cable came from the connector to the downlight. I think it was done so that the downlight can be pulled down quite a way if needed to and disconnected if it needed replacing etc. Does anyone know what these connectors are called and where I can get some from?
That's a neat idea...I have recently tried out a sample of the new downlighter junction box from Hager and I have to say it seems a very nice bit of kit.
But what did you say on your plans submission about how you proposed to comply with Part P?Yes its a new extension so building control are checking everything.
