Hi,
I have a new build Bellway home that's about 5 years old. The hallway near the front door is very drafty. At first I thought it was the door so I got a new upvc door fitted. This didn't fix the problem so I complained to the door fitters and they came and fitted a replacement door. This still has not fixed the problem so I am beginning to think the door may not be the issue. The draft seems to be coming from around the skirting boards and the wall and floor are absolutely freezing. On a windy day it feels like the door is wide open. I've asked my neighbour attached who has the same style of house and they have the same issues. Can anybody think what the problem could be? Could it be an insulation issue or maybe an air brick problem or even a gap somewhere? Any ideas of what the problem may be and possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.
