I`m building an extension at my brothers house, Luckily he has a combined sewer, and there is a rainwatter gully right under where the new bathroom will sit,
Will a 4" pipe cope with soil or does it need to be 6"

Also any one had any problems with building inspectors when combining plastic and clay pip on one job?

If the rain water gulley has a U bend in it then the building inspector may not allow soil pipe to connect to it.

I wouldn't be happy with a U bend at the bottom of a soil stack as the solids and water will be dispersed by the time they reach the U bend. As a result the water ( flush water ) may not move all the solids round the bend leading to a build up and eventual blocking.

no i`d remove the gully and make sure there is plenty of fall i was just worried as its a 4 inch pipe...

thanks for the advice peeps
