The draught-proofing options for the staff and parting beads are well known for a sash window. Is it preferable to use some draught-proofing between the top and bottom rails of their respective sashes when the window is closed? As they are clamped together by the fastener, I can't see this would be necessary. Any advice or experience would be most welcome
