Draughtproofing front door

I know this has probably been asked before. I recently repainted the front door white. I removed the old sponge seal strips as part of this.

The front door is within a upvc porch so the strips are only for draught exclusion, not rain.

What is the best seal strip to use on the sides and top of the door? They will close onto the face of the door. I've seen p shape, e shape, sponges, brushes.

Under the door is a lip that the door closes against, with a rain deflector on the door above it. What should I use here? There was nothing before. Never had a wooden front door before.

Sponge type don't work unless the gap is uniform in which case you might as well adjust to fit correctly.Book fold seem to be the most efficient unless you are happy to see the excluder on the front of the door.

the furry pile (soft brush) type are not often seen, but they are very accommodating of irregular gaps.

You might have seen them as smoke seal on fire doors, but are also used on sliding doors and sash windows.

It might also be called Plush Pile

I got some on a roll, mine has an adhesive backing but it can also be pinned into place, or slid into grooves in some frames.

This type of Draught strip is generally not supposed to close on the face of a door, it is supposed to fit in the gap and the door edge brushes past it.
