I just bought a Drayton LP112 but after installing the controller it does not work. I have blinking red lights. What does this mean? Thank you in advance.

Providing you have wired it up right ,
loose wire ,
connection on backplate slipped down and not connectiung with pin on clock properly.
Faulty unit (rare)

It was already wired. Had to remove the old unit to paint the walls.
When I installed it back the red lights were blinking.

if the timer worked then was removed and refitted then started flashing it is very likely a loose/damaged connection as per earlier reply, this would seem likely as you are now getting an intermittent power supply, if the timer had given up by being removed/refitted which can happen some time i think it would be off all together
