Drayton Tempus 6 water and heating issue

We have just moved into a flat. We have a Drayton tempus 6 boiler and when I turn the water heating option on, the heating come on too even though the screen says it's off. Am I selecting something wrong? I worry when it come to summer when we need the water on but not the heating!!
Someone please give me some guidance.
