I have a tempus four controller Can this controller be replaced with a tempus 3 or 7 without altering the wiring

The tempus 3,4 &7 have the same terminal layouts so direct replacement is possible onto your back plate. BTW All those models are now discontinued
Note modern Dayton programmers can be used as well if you want to stick with the same make The catalogue also has a compatibility chart if you want to check.
