I am also asking in another thread about an Alpha boiler and Hive, this is for my Dad, however I am also wanting to install Hive on my boiler.
I have a Worcester Greenstar 28i boiler with a wireless Drayton Digistat +2 RF
I am wanting to convert this to Hive heating.
My boiler manual has this diagram:

How do I wire the Hive? obviously the Live/Neutral/Earth are self explanatory but what about Term 3 (Heating on) and 1 (common)
Can I use the Drayton SCR wiring to link to the Hive or will I have to totally remove it and start afresh from the boiler?
Thanks

Ls = Live supply this goes to the Hive Common terminal 1
Lr = Live return goes to the Hive Heating on terminal 3

Ls and Lr may well be presently connected to the SCR so, if they are, then you can use the existing wiring.

If you only have three cores (excluding earth) presently in the cable to the SCR, as the Ls is a permanent live, as well as being used for the Common terminal 1, it can also be linked to the L terminal to provide the live supply to the Hive
