Hi guys n dolls , so sorry im back again since feb , . Never got to fit this new kit , got real busy at work hence still not fully installed. Got great feed back from chris, however i cant seem to get him back on diynot .
So plz any additional advise to chris,s feed back would be grt as the drayton site is suggesting that i add a link as the pdf file , mmmm not to sure now guys n dolls. .................. Wram and polite regards john.
Hi Guys n Dolls, 1st time on Diynot, nearly retired ,kitchen &bathroom installer S.Employed. (North East uk. )
Cutting to the chase ,needing to replace my crap Honeywell vioce act. Room stat/controller, with the Drayton wiser kit 1,as photo. At 1st glance was going to attempt to install it myself, but now worried im gona blow pcb brd in my Baxi Main combie (as at this point I'm unsure if its 240v feed or low voltage. So many youtube vids. Kinda confused now.
Basically photo 2 is my current wiring into the Honeywell N&L obviously is my 240 v from f.spur in loft 3amp and B C is which i take is the switching and call for heat. Please be kind I'm not a electrician but with a little help I can save a few quid. Fingers xd
Recaping pic 1 new Stat
" 2&3 current Hwell stat/controller . " 4&5 Hwell back plt.
" 5&6 new Drayton backing plt.
Looking fwd to your views or should I get a sparky.

Hello John, not sure if I might the Chris to whom you refer, but, you only need to transfer the wiring over from the Honeywell to Wiser as follows:

L to L
N to N
A to 1
B to 3

No worries about harming the pcb as it’ll work as it does now. No needs to add any links - that is when there isn’t a common, but you have one (terminal A in Honeywell)

Hope this makes sense?

Edit, seems it was me, twice and now a 3rd time

Hi Chris yes, you are spot on, forgive me plz as im no electrician , just basic elec savy. much appreciate your warm and friendly patience .ill have a shot at the install and keep you posted. kind regards john.

Hi Chris, as I promised and a Mega thank you and all diyers not . just managed to install my wiser hub/room stat and amazon echo about 3hrs ago. And Guys n Dolls im kinda well cuffed with my pensioner self ( hee hee ) .Spot on and working great ,now i can spout my orders out to Alexa .

Hi Chris CWB, sorry its daft o'clock on Sunday night , im looking to control this consumer unit in a log lodge we own in Northumberland with wifi . We are experiencing renters leaving all the heating and lighting on , some times for weeks back to back and we are at least 1hrs drive away.
Any pointers for me as competent but no electrician.
however i do need to have the fridge freezer by passed for obvious reasons . look fwb to your fab advise .

Apologies myself, not something I’m familiar with for consumer unit control. Maybe ask in the electrics section?
