Have been looking at smart heating for a while.

As far as I can see the 'combi only kit' receiver is just a switch.
L+N supply and switch to fire the Boiler. 240V live in my case.
Is there any reason I cannot use this kit to replace my hall thermostat? I have L+N supply.

I have a cylinder for hot water but happy for the Honeywell ST699 timer to take care of this.
Heating is left on constant and boiler fired by programmable hall stat.

The ST699 is in a recess. The Wiser receiver will not fit.

Mrs works from home
I have a programmable TRV that varies the temp for her working hours but still relies on the hall stat to fire.
20+ years old Ideal boiler. With low or high setting. A little unsure how it might behave if only 1 rad and towel rail open

Yes it sounds feasible, but you could always position the wiser receiver near the wiring center and let it control both heating and hot water?

Thanks Chris.

Shower is electric. Hot water only used for washing hands, etc and washing pots.
Currently run it 30 mins 5am/4.30pm and that is fine most of the time.

In which case, you would need a single channel, so sounds correct what you’re proposing.
