drill bit for cutting glass

Please does anyone know where i can get a drill bit for cutting holes in glass .

You do know how to do it don’t you? very slow speed, running drill in lubricant etc, requires a bit of practice. Could you not get in done professionally?

BR i need to drill the hole's in my fish tanks as i want to have a centralised filter system and the fish tanks are in my garage at the moment so it's a bit inpractable to move them all and i would be better off doing the drilling where they stand.

but that will mean you will have to empty them out to drill hole so they will weigh less, easier to move.

a thought.

Use glass cutter to cut square hole, mastic perspex to hole (both sides) to which you have apready drilled round hole.

or change to one side of tank (as required) to perspex

yes you can drill holes in glass,most hardware stores will have proper bit
