Hi all,

Due to some plumbing bodgery I find myself probably needing to drill some holes in a 178x102x19 UB.

The steel is a 4m span, I need to drill 2 x 20mm holes, they'd be on the centre line approximately 300mm and 330mm in from the end of the steel.

The steel only supports the upstairs floor, I'm not really sure why it's there in the first place.

Can anyone see those 2 holes causing issues to the integrity of the steel and it's ability to carry on doing it's job?

Thanks,
Chris.
