Drilling holes in porcelain floor tiles

anyone have any advice/tips? Need a few 1.5" diameter holes and its a nightmare

You will be able to hire a Diamond tipped Holesaw set from any good Hire centre. When you start to drill it will help to put a bit of masking tape on your starting point to help prevent the drill bit wandering and take it slowly and lubricate while you drill with water to stop the bit getting too hot. Nearly forgot, do not use Hammer action on the drill .
 
Do you know anyone with a rotozip with the tile bit .... that will eat thro' wall tile albeit floor tiles are a bit tougher
