Drilling through fibreglassCa

Can I drill through fibreglass and if so what drill do I use? any info would be truly appreciated.

From what ive heard, you can drill through fibleglass but you need to use a blunt drill bit (oddly enough) so you dont spoil the gel coat.

bit of sticky tape and a sharp metal bit, i have used hole cutters and flatbits, but you only get one go

if you start the drill in reverse when you attempt the hole it will stop any grabbing of the bit causing cracks,cone cutters can also help as they are less agressive

you dont have to leave on reverse,just until you have start to cut the surface

if you can get to the back of the panel drill a pilot hole from behind. Then open this up from the front with a standard "metal" drill bit.

seal the edges with gelcoat or primer to stop the moisture getting into the fibres.
