Hi
Just trying to help out a friend with constant dripping from the shower control valve (Aqualisa).
couple of questions

Is the leak due to internal washers and how easy would it be for her to change. She did fix her toilet some years ago so she does have confidence in the plumbing area.

If she had to change the control valve would some tiles have to be removed to access the pipe connections?
thanks

She needs a new cartridge , straightforward to change , however they are not cheap

Sometimes it's more economical to change the shower (unless someone on here knows anywhere that does them at a reasonable price )

If she gets a like for like replacement she won't need to remove a tile however a different shape might be an issue depending on how the tile has been fitted over the pipes sticking out of the wall

Hi
Thanks for the reply, if possible could u explain how to change the cartridge, just a rough idea
Thanks again

There's plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it

Follow those and you will be fine

Thanks, just found them
The shower is about 15 years old, is it likely that u can get a direct like for like replacement cartridge?

Thanks for all your help, they are not cheap as u originally said, not sure how they can justify £180, think I saw a cartridge at about £50 , prob best option
