Drive to belfast

May be driving to Belfast from Wolverhampton.
Can anyone give advice on the ferry trips from holy head or should i be looking at flying

I've done both. Ferry from Stranraer and flew from...er...Brum i think into Belfast. Belfast airport was a shed if I remember rightly.

I've done the Sea Cat to Dublin too. now that was quick.

If i had to choose, flying would be the most convenient provided i wasn't touring, otherwise i would ferry over and drive.

It depends on whether you have a lot of luggage or equipment/tools to carry. If so then driving will be best, but Stranraer is a long haul from the Midlands. If little luggage you will probably be better to fly from Birmingham or West Midlands.

I've heard that you can drive across Morecambe Bay at low tide.
