I need to replace the finish on our driveway following building works to our house.
The house is c.1900 sandstone house with matching stone walls and the driveway is at a slight slope upto the garage and is large enough to hold a large family car, so not overly large area.
I would like a material that won't clash with the stone of the house - previously it was two strips of concrete with chippings either side and in the middle.
I would replace with new chippings (gettign rid of what remains of the concrete) but the slope to the pavement means that I would loose them overtime. Monoblocks look too modern for the house and not sure that a fully solid surface would look to hard.
Also want to replace the front garden path so would want to tie in the materials.
Had looked at the plastic grids that allow grass to grow through but unsure if they would stand the test of time?
Anyone any ideas/suggestions?

It also wouldn't slide off down the hill.
