Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst Marwan Bishara highlights that the core of this visit goes beyond the impressive trade figures and massive investment deals. He emphasizes that while economic agreements were front and center, they serve a deeper strategic purpose—reflecting a shift in Washington’s approach under President Trump. Rather than letting geopolitics shape economic decisions, Bishara suggests that Trump is using economics as the primary tool to drive his geopolitical agenda, particularly in the Middle East.

Arguably, the Americans need this trade deal more than the House of Saud.
The Saudi's get modern military equipment, including F-15s, which will put the Zionist's nose out of place.

Israel have F15, F16 and F35's. (y)

Not that it matters, Saudi wont be going to war with Israel any time soon, more important fish to fry.

No, of course not, although Israel would like to stay as the only nation in the region with that capability. It doesn't look as though Trump will buck up on the Abraham Accords any time soon, either.

If Trump stops giving Israel munitions, will that stop them killing innocent people?

Really?, the Syrians seem quite drawn to the idea.

The Middle East is being reshaped, for the better.

He seems to be saying that, unlike Biden, Trump has no ideological attachment to Israel, and he will give more support to the views of the Arab oil states, simply because they are a lot richer. Hence the new nuclear deal with Iran and this decision on Syria. That sounds like a big change and gives a lot to think about. It ties in with something I read the other day which said this trip was primarily about economics.

Advancing the Oslo Accords and boosting economies goes hand in hand. Ultimately, Israel will fall in line with Saudi and Trump.

An interesting quote from a discussion I'm reading which seems to sum up Trump's approach so far on many foreign policy issues:

So it’s a really fascinating mixed message and the message that you’re sending to the world is, “We’re going to bully. But if we can’t get what we want really quickly, then we’re actually just going to try and package whatever we can and salvage it as a ‘win,’ and then move on.”

The Saudis could be using these arms deals to extend their influence within the American establishment.
The Americans love money, the Saudis have plenty of it, so maybe they have concluded that a lot of carrot might achieve more than threat of the big stick.

The Israel lobby spends a lot of cash buying influence, the Arabs could do the same in the hope of gaining more input to American Middle East policy.

This has been a long time coming or are you completely dismissing the Oslo Accords, alternatively, are you opposed to peace in the Middle East given your oft stated support for 'Palestinian' terrorism.
