I was removing some old paint from above a window and unnoticed to me some of the paint stripper dropped onto the PVC window sill, now the sill has a few orangy, yellow stains on it
Anyone offer any advice on how i can make the stains less noticeable?

Obvious suggestion really, just replace it. If its inside you could get a piece of mdf cut to size. Or put a plant on top of it :D

You dont live my wife, she tells everyone who comes into our house about the sill, so to mention replacing the stained sill is a no no as this sill would be different to the other sills in the room and that would never do dear would it, the plant is also a no no as i would be wearing it for suggesting that

There was a fairly recent topic here where someone had burnt some uPVC whilst stripping some nearby paintwork (albeit with a blow torch), and the advice given apparently worked miracles.

I cannot for the life of me remember what was recommended.

I'll keep searching the site, as it may be of use to you.

On a serious note there are PVC restorers out there, have never used them so couldn't recommend anything.

Cheapest thing to try would be a uPVC solvent cleaner, it's £3.85 from Toolstation, if that won't shift it, have a look for previous threads as mentioned above - I think you'll be into some form of mild abrasive cleaner at that point.
