In the past couple of weeks we have several patches which seem to be spreading of what is dried out/ dead lawn.
The patches aren't in the shade, aren't under trees and don't have weeds

What can i do to get the grass lush again?

Thanks

Had the same. take a very close look at the blades of dried grass if there are any pink/red strands then you have got "red thread" fungus, apparently there is a lot of it about. Treat with high nitrogen fertilizer

No that won't help you need an 8-0-0 fertilizer.

Google "red thread" and there is loads about dealing with it
