Hello all,

I am after some advice on dry lining a single skin concrete block wall.
The building contains a small store room and dairy processing room so doesn’t need to be particularly well insulated, just lined to make it clean.
It is built from concrete block and painted on the outside with waterproof paint.
I am thinking of lining the inside with kingspan insulated plasterboard, fixed to treated battens and then skimmed. Will this be sufficient or will I need to line the walls with a breathable vapour barrier before fixing the plasterboard. And will I need to paint anything on the walls in the areas where the battens will be fixed?

All advice will be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Joe

Will be fine like that.

You can't have a 'breathable vapour barrier', it's a contradiction in terms ;)
