I am putting a new roof on a stable conversion we are doing and will need to think about the ridge system shortly so am after some advice.
Slates are fibre cement and I would like to use a dry ridge system,
These seem to come in 6m lengths my roof is 12.3 m long so just over 2 packs needed. My question could I start the vent roll 150mm in on the first ridge tile. My way of thinking it's 150mm in the end of the ridge tile will be blocked off with a cap and the first joining piece will be 150mm further along. ?
I know this this may seem false economy to some but I am running out of money on this project so it would help.
Also does anyone know what one I should use.
Thanks in advance
