What length of drywall screws should I use to attach 3m x 1.2m x 12.5mm plasterboad sheets to 45mm studs? 32, 35, or 38mm?

How far apart should the screws be? 150mm ... ?

I have studs at 600 centres, but no battens. Is this ok? The ceiling height
is approx 2.92m, so that makes the 3m plasterboard very handy.

I plan to use a Makita collated driver.

Thanks,
Ian

I normally use 42mm screws so I’d go for at least the 38mm & secure at no more than 200 centres. I normally fit a noggin @ 1.2m on ceiling heights up to 2.4m but my conservator wall went up to 3.3m at its highest so I added an additional noggin at 2.4m (the size of the boards I used). With a 2.9 m high ceiling & if your going to use 3m boards, I would fit 2 noggins @1/3 & 2/3 the way up but boards that size are going to be very heavy & a real handful to manage even with 2 of you!

Ok, thanks for the advice. There will be three of us putting them up - two
holding the plasterboard in place and one operating the collated driver.

A 3m length is exactly the right height for the room, so it seems to make
sense to do it this way.
