I have a WB Greenstar boiler with a DT10RF Thermostat (Receiever unit on the boiler and transmitter / Thermostat normally mounted on the wall).

The the batteries leaked over summer when it wasn't in use and since then it shows the wrong temperature, eg 28c when it is obviously around 16c. Otherwise it actually works so I could set it to 31c and it wlould heat the house to about 19c however I was really guessing and after a few hours the temperature reading would be almost correct so it was a whacky way to heat my house.

So I bought a new transmitter for about £150. It says Digistat DT10RF and not the original Worcester Bosch branding but otherwise it's the same.

My issue was setting up a radio link between the boiler (receiver) and the thermostat (trasmitter unit on the wall in my hallway). I have the instruction booklet which is the same as in the link below. The problem was that my old thermostat (wonky temperature) was radio linked so there was no error and the boiler receiver was not asking me to link a new thermostat. Instructions say you should press "Set 4 times then press OK once", they say this will display "Lrn" i.e. learn the new radio connection. Unfortunately this does not happen after the initial boiler setup (10 years ago in my case) and so it wouldn't work when you buy just a new thermostat.

The good news is that you can do it anyway. What you need to do to establish the link with your new thermostat is below...

1) Take batteries out of the old (broken in my case) thermstat so it can't interfere.
2) Press Set on the receiver (on the boiler) until is says "Date?".
3) Press "-"
4) Press "Set" (you now see "Y:23" for 2023)...
5) Press "Set" again (see "n:12" for Decemeber)...
6) Press "Set" again (see "d:28" for the 28th)...
7) Press "Set" again (se "dL5")
8) Press "Set" again and NOW you WILL see "Lrn". From this point onwards you can follow the instruction booklet as in the link below as you DO now have the "Lrn" message!

I have created this positing because the helpful people on the Worcester Bosch were just reading the manual to me and unfoirtunately the manual probably only works on the initial pairing and not when you have bought a new Thermostat later. Followibg this guide saves you buying a £150 DT10RF receiever so you can have good times and spend your saved £150 on a month's worth of gas in winter instead.

Both old and new thermostat said 433MHz on the circuit board inside which you see when you press a flathead screwdriver into the tabs on the bottom to take it off the wall mounting. It's good that is the same now as it was 10 years ago...
