Hi
I am new to diy, and have just started painting the exterior woodwork of my house with Dulux colour mixing gloss. I was expecting to have to do only one coat, as the colour is the same as the existing paintwork. But the paint seems very thin to me. Maybe I should have put an undercoat on? Should I use two coats of this gloss, or will one be sufficient? thanks for any advice.

Ideally it would be better to rub the woodwork down and apply a coat of undercoat. Light sanding then a coat of the gloss. Getting the undercoat mixed to the same colour as the gloss helps a lot.
