dummy pitched roof

i have ugly single extension flat roof with bay window, looks like pill box, all green and cladding at edge. Thought might put dummy pitch on, would need to raise edge of roof to get pitch over bay. Firstly any other idea to make it look better? If not what is best way to build dummy pitch and integrate with existing flat roof? I take it as raising roof only about 250mm wont need planning?
