Afternoon all,

Not sure if anyone can share any advice. Planted this hedge about 4years ago and all had been ok until this year.

Pictures below. Is something laying something on the buds or is it drought? Have watered it all a few times this summer as it has been dry, although I didn’t water in the spring.

The species is thuja plicata (red cedar)

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Surely cat pi55 couldn’t kill the whole tree/s?

I do have 2 cats unfortunately, wife’s idea

Thanks very much.

Will have to get to a garden centre and buy something.

Soul destroying when they grow so well for a few years and then three go in one hit. ☹️

Ours have been in 16 years and were quite happy until this year. I think the weather being so unreasonable this year is the cause of our problems.
