Hi There.

Not a heating / plumbing question......please bear with me......

I live in Sheffield.

The council are currently insulating homes free in my area.
1)
I'm booked in for additional roof insulation.
(To top-up to current regs.) The company contracted for this work is Eaga.

2) The same company is coming at a later date to install cavity wall insulation.
I've seen them drilling walls and using a large truck to blow in what looks like some kind of wooly fibre.
Again, anybody have any experience of this company doing this type of work?
Quality of materials / workmanship?

I know this is not a central heating topic but every time I see the name "Eaga" mentioned on the Plumbing / Heating forum, they seem to have a bad name. Will this be part of the same company and should I "keep an eye on them" ?

Cheers.

Ian.

I think the comments against Eaga are very unfair, I have subcontracted to them before and the inspections are very thorough, so thorough lots of companies I know of won't touch them because of that reason.

I would say go for it. (especially if its for free  )

I have never heard of them paying subcontractors very much and I think that is more likely to be why few want to do work for them.

There is no reason why their insulation part should be at all bad.
