Earthing downlights

Hi can anyone tell me why do you not have an earth point on fire rated bathroom downlights
 
you can snip it off, or leave it there but safe.
Double insulated means the fitting is or the cables are double insulated.
A symbol with two squares one inside the other.
Don't confuse low voltage with extra low voltage or SELV

It is not a good idea to snip the earths off. Terminate them correctly in a choc block making sure you have put some sleeving on first. If your electrics need to be checked for any certification in the future the earths are needed to do R1,R2 tests.
