easy alarm to fit what's best

My next door neighbour was burgled and I have had an alarm quote for £1500!! . It was a wirefree alarn which I liked because I have decorated everywhere I can't afford that much tbh can you pls give me some ideas. Not too bad with things did tech at school so willing to try myself thks
