easy and best way?

it depends how thick the paint is and how far back you want to sand it

If your just going to repaint the doors and skirtings, then wash them down with sugar soap, dry then lightly sand, give a quick wipe over with a damp cloth (to remove dust) then repaint with undercoat and top coat. ;) ;)

well its just that theres alot of it to be done and wondered if one of them electric belt sander things would be a worthwhile investment or just get on with it with hands and sandpaper

Endless belt sanders can be pretty awkward to use when you aren't using them on a bench....they tend to pull themselves away from you due to their design.
My unsung hero? A cheapo B&D detail sander (the triangular one) - gets in anywhere, dead light and has dust extraction. The abrasive pads (velcro type) are expensive but well worth it.
John :)

If there are several (ie too many coats) and you can't just rough it up to pain over, then any sander could be hard work.

Might be better to burn it off or use a chemical stripper

Be careful if the paint (and property) is old as if so the paint may contain lead
