Hi folks, quick question - what do folks in the trade use to protect the teeth (or indeed, their hands from the teeth) of their saws when in storage? Mine mostly came in a cardboard sleeve but it's not long before the cardboard gets cut through, taking the saw in and out...

Some of the 'better' saws come with their own plastic scabbard....look for one next time you buy and keep it!
Nothing like laminate or other adhesived boards for taking the edge off.
John :)

I tend to find the card ones adequate although in the past I've cut a thin groove in a strip of wood to slide the saw into held on with a loop of wire. In my workshop I tend not to bother with sheaths preferring to hang the saw from the hole in the blade or from the handle if there's no hole. I also hang them in the van although those ones have the cardboard sheaths on.

I was up in me loft y'day and came across lengths of foam pipe insulation - that'll do nicely! Cheers for tips, folks.
