Can anyone tell me the easiest way to test a programmer clock to check if it is working properly.

Such as which wires do i loop out on the clock to get the boiler to fire up on hot water or heating mode.
Many thanks. ;)

easiest way to test it is to wire it to a lamp in a batten holder

The best way is if you put ch only on see if there is a live at room stat,
live in and neutral then switch stat on and and try live switch and neutral
this sends live feed to junction box and from there down the white wire to 3 way valve then out of valve on orange wire to pump and boiler.
if there is no live at room stat the programmer is faulty

if it is the hot water side switch programmer on dhw only go to junction box test brown and earth for 240 v if no volts programmer faulty if there is vaults check black ans orange these are normally in the same pin and earth if no volts the cylinder stat is broke if there is volts the 3 way valve is faulty.
